Examples for Cocoa apps are the Finder on 10.6 and pretty much every other Mac OS X app you can think of. An inactive Cocoa window looks more clickable than an inactive Carbon window: In Cocoa apps, controls don't "dim" - they don't become transparent, they just lose their blue fill.
